Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CardSum mobile application ("App," "Service," "we," "us," or "our") available on Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App Store). By downloading, installing, or using CardSum, you agree to be bound by these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old to use CardSum.

What CardSum is

CardSum identifies sports and trading card game (TCG) cards from photos and shows market-price estimates based on recent sold listings, with a running total for your collection. Identification and prices are estimates built from available market data — we show the comps and the math behind every number.

What CardSum is not

CardSum is not an appraisal service and provides no certified or guaranteed valuation. Card identification can be wrong, especially for rare parallels and difficult photos, and market prices move. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, or professional advice. Decisions to buy, sell, hold, or grade cards are yours alone.

Your account

You start with an anonymous account and may link a sign-in method through Settings → Account to recover your backup on another device or after reinstalling. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping linked credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your saved cards and collections

All cards contains your saved library. Named collections help organize it, and a card can belong to more than one collection without becoming a separate saved card. Deleting a named collection or removing a card from that collection does not remove the card from All cards or other collections. Remove from Box removes the saved card from the library, subject to the undo option shown in the app.

The camera's Auto-save destination applies to future saves. Changing it does not move earlier cards. Cards and collection organization synchronize with your account when a connection is available; capture thumbnails stay on their original device. Free tier and subscriptions

CardSum's free tier includes a daily scan allowance, shown plainly in the app; your collection has no size limit on either tier. CardSum Pro removes the daily scan limit, is billed through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store under their terms, renews until cancelled, and can be cancelled anytime in your store account settings. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply retroactively to a paid period. Refunds follow the stores' own policies.

Deleting your CardSum account or uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel through the store that handles it to stop future renewals. Pro users can reach the store's subscription controls from Settings → Your plan → Manage subscription. Subscription and deletion instructions.

Acceptable use

• Don't use CardSum for anything unlawful.
• Don't scrape, bulk-extract, resell, or redistribute the service's data or pricing.
• Don't reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the service or its providers.
• Don't use automation to exceed the app's stated limits.

Your content

Photos you capture and collection names you create remain yours. You give us the limited license needed to process them for the service you asked for — identifying cards, organizing saved cards, and synchronizing your collections. We keep no server-side copies of scan photos after identification.

Our content

The app, its design, branding, and software are ours or our licensors' and are protected by law. Card names, team marks, and player names that appear in identification results belong to their respective owners; CardSum is not affiliated with or endorsed by any card manufacturer, league, or players' association.

Warranty disclaimer

CardSum is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of identification or pricing, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of identifications or price estimates. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using CardSum and delete your account at any time. Open the camera's Settings gear → Account → Delete account & data, or request deletion by email — here's how. Account deletion is permanent and is separate from cancelling a store subscription. We may suspend or end the service or your access for violations of these terms, with notice where practicable.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted by the date above, and continued use after a change means acceptance.
